Sigh... How many times have I tried to defeat Lance?,
Today I finished training my Pokemon to face the Indigo Plateau in Heart Gold. I defeated Will, Koga, Bruno, and Karen each only taking a few hits. Most of their Pokemon I defeated with one hit using type as well as level advantages. Then I came to face Lance with my starter at level 50 and the rest of my party at either 48 or 49 only to be defeated and having to reload... Truthfully I wouldn't have a problem being defeated and going back to train, but that means I would have to pay up a pretty penny to Lance. What to do indeed, I've already tried numerous times.
In conclusion. For all people about to face the Indigo Plateau in Heart Gold or Soul Silver-
Four the first four trainers, you shouldn't have a problem as long as your Pokemon have been sufficiently trained and you don't pit your Jumpluff against a Houndoom. (Your own Pokemon against one that's super-effective against it.) Lance is another story altogether. He has a level 46 Gyarados, a level 48 Aerodactyl, 2 level 49 Dragonite, a level 50 Dragonite, and another Pokemon that I haven't seen yet, though I doubt it's stronger than his level 50 Dragonite. His Gyarados is a piece of cake if you have a Pokemon that is super-effective against it. In my case it was my Ampharos. It took half of my party to take down his level 50 Dragonite, leaving me with a Poliwhirl, Ampharos, and Typhlosion. Once I was miraculously able to take down in of his level 49 Dragonite, but that left me with just my Poliwhirl. Other than that I was always defeated by one of his level 49 Dragonite. My only tip for you is to train train train! :)

HI!
Hey guys! What I want to do here is to create guides on my 2 favorite video game series. My first one is on Pokemon Sapphire, the first Pokemon game I ever played with an understanding. Well, the first Pokemon game I ever played with an understanding was Emerald, but they're pretty close.
About me
I'm 13. I spend my time doing homework, hanging out with my friends, thinking up ideas that never work, trying to improve my grades, origami, some sort of craft, and the computer. I like anime and manga; the first anime I ever watched was Naruto, and the first manga I ever read was Kaichou wa Maid sama. I also watch One Piece and Fairy Tail, and I also read Pandora Hearts, Vampire Knight, Gakuen Alice, and Skip Beat. My friends used to always help me on my games, so I want to help others now. I will post a few times a week. If you want to contact me I have a Facebook, Skype and email. I never go on Facebook, I only use Skype to talk with my brother who is currently in college, and I only check my emails once a month or so. In other words, you can email me any questions or comments and expect a reply within a month. My email is: Halia.Kaze@gmail.com. (That's not my name, I just used the basic real name format. Don't ask where I got it.)I doubt capitalization counts, but I always capitalize. I hope that my guides will be helpful! :)
